She then acted in the play ‘American Standard’ after relocating to Los Angeles, California. Soon after, she made her big screen debut in the thriller film ‘The Quiet’ in 2005. She then appeared in the short film ‘Zombie Prom’ in 2006. The actress appeared in the films ‘Finding Amanda’ and ‘Four Christmases’ two years later. She also starred in an episode of the TV show ‘My Name Is Earl’ around the time. ‘Two and a Half Men’ starred Mixon. She also became a series regular on ‘Eastbound & Down’ the following year.
She appeared in three films: “The Informers,” “State of Play,” and “All About Steve.” Mixon was later cast in the drama series ‘Mike & Molly’ as Victoria Flynn.
