He has received five Emmy Awards for his news and sports coverage. Berry began his career at WBTV-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he worked as a reporter trainee before becoming a weekend anchor. Berry went on to work as a weekend anchor for WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C. before moving to the sports desk. Berry then spent six years as the sports director at WSVN-TV in Miami. Berry began working as a sports anchor for Chicago’s WBBM-TV in April 1994. Berry began working as the sports director for WFOR-TV in Miami in August 1996. In August 1996, Berry joined WFOR-TV in Miami as the station’s sports director. In June 2008, Berry shifted to being a morning news anchor at WFOR.
