Louis began his television career in 1989 as a Spanish-language reporter for Telemundo, where he was nominated for an Emmy Award for a series about America’s AIDS issue. After getting the desired interview with Cuban President Fidel Castro, Aguirre began her career as a reporter for South Florida’s ABC station, WPLG, in 1990 and progressed through the ranks to become a weekend anchor. Aguirre traveled to Hollywood in 1994 to serve as a correspondent for Extra, which eventually led to a post as the main correspondent for A Current Affair. She went on to become the first female co-host of Fox News Channel’s morning news show, Fox & Friends.

Aguirre quickly returned to South Florida, anchoring the 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. newscasts and serving as a reporter for the 11 p.m. shows at WPLG.
