Kelly worked as the news director for UUTV, the Student TV Station, while in college (now CitrusTV). Kelly joined WGRZ in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 2013 and hosted weekend evening newscasts at KLRT. Kelly spoke extensively about the pending decommissioning case in Pulaski County schools during his visit to Arkansas. There were also damaging ice storms and tornadoes.
