Amrich wrote for Harris Publications’ Country Guitar Magazine, Guitar World, and SLAM Magazine in the mid-1990s. He also served as an editor for Flux Magazine, led America Online’s Critics’ Choice’s video games section, and was the Editor in Chief of GameSport Magazine. He also contributed to Wired, Time Out New York, and NBA Inside Stuff, among other publications. Andy Eddy offered him the post of Executive Editor of Digital Diner, a Metropolis Publications’ internet lifestyle magazine startup, in 1996. Before the journal closed, only two issues were published. I started at GamePro as Dan Elektro and Bad Hare, two editorial aliases.
