Steven Furtick is an American Baptist evangelical Christian pastor who is also an accomplished author and Elevation Worship’s award-winning songwriter. He is the founder and senior pastor of the Charlotte-based Elevation Church.

He portrayed Jefferson Twilight, a Vampire Hunter and member of The Order of the Triad, in Venture Bros. He is a “blacula” hunter and a member of Dr. Orpheus’ and The Alchemist’s Order of the Triad. At times, he has expressed disappointment that he appears to lack magical abilities and is “just” a blacula hunter; however, it is revealed in The Better Man that he possesses the ability to act as a bridge between worlds. Jefferson is ecstatic when he discovers his new ability and sets out to discover if he has any other abilities.
Jefferson witnessed his mother being raped by “blaculas” (black vampires) when he was ten years old, which no doubt inspired him to pursue his profession. He has become a very skilled swordsman, which allows him to slay many enemies as he travels around the world. He was also a tank commander in the Marines, as he is shown to be capable of operating heavy vehicles. It is unknown where or how he obtained his “Blood Eye” (his red left eye), which aids him in tracking blaculas.
He joined the Order of Triad, though he has expressed resentment that he lacks the power that his friend has. However, The Better Man demonstrates that Jefferson possesses the ability to act as a bridge between worlds. Jefferson is overjoyed when he discovers his new ability and is able to bring his friends back from the Netherrealm.
During A Very Venture Halloween, Jefferson attends the Halloween party hosted by Orpheus and enjoys the others raising zombies. The zombies, however, were either destroyed as a group or confronted by The Master (in the form of Santa), whom Jefferson and Al were delighted to finally meet.

He previously played Nathan James’ senior enlisted sailor and unofficial chaplain in the American action-drama television series The Last Ship as Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy Russell “Russ” Jeter.

He appeared as James Falcon in the American science fiction television series Fringe. James Falcon is a Shape-shifter disguised as the project leader of a Massive Dynamic project tasked with determining the power of the wave sink device. He ran tests on Peter Bishop after discovering he was the source of the power but found nothing that could help. Olivia Dunham was correct in her suspicion that he was a mole. She discovered him dead in his apartment, with two bullets in his head. Walter Bishop performed an autopsy on his body and discovered that he was a shape-shifter. Peter is later revealed to have murdered him. (“Reciprocity”).
