The show, set in Los Angeles, follows the lives of Fran’s gay ex-husband and his family. The sitcom aired in 2011 and was revived for a second season in 2012, featuring guest appearances by Renée Taylor and Charles Shaughnessy. The show was officially canceled on August 23, 2013, after an additional 12 episodes were added to the original 12 episode order. The show was based on the creators’ personal experiences, as they had previously developed The Nanny. The show was filmed in front of a live studio audience at CBS Radford in Studio City.
