Richards made her ABC Family television debut in the film Princess in 2008. In the same year, Richards played Margaret “Peggy” Dupree in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. Richards returned in 2010 to play Peggy in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, a sequel to the original film. In the first Camp Rock film, she sang the song “Here I Am”. However, Renee Sandstrom recorded her singing voice.
