Tomlinson began performing stand-up comedy when she was 16 when her father enrolled her in a class. She gave performances in church basements, school auditoriums, and coffee shops. In 2015, she was a top ten finalist on the ninth season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and she was named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch” at the 2019 Just for Laughs Festival. She has been on The Tonight Show, Conan, and a variety of Comedy Central shows. In 2017, she created a sitcom for ABC, however, it was not picked up for a pilot.
