“Dreamliner: Inside the World’s Most Anticipated Airplane,” “Ford: Rebuilding an American Icon,” “Saving General Motors,” and “Failure to Recall: Investigating GM,” which won a 2014 Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) Award, are among the one-hour documentaries LeBeau has reported for the network.

Prior to joining CNBC, LeBeau worked as a media relations specialist for Van Kampen Funds in Oak Brook Terrace, Ill., where he was instrumental in launching a campaign to educate the public and the press about the company’s mutual fund and investment practices. LeBeau held a Series 6 license while at Van Kampen.

He previously worked as a general assignment reporter for the CBS affiliate in Denver, KCNC-TV, and the ABC affiliate in Wichita, Kan. WCCO-TV in Minneapolis hired LeBeau as a field producer, where he wrote, produced, and researched consumer stories. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcasting from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism.

The station is the flagship broadcast property of Graham Holdings Company’s Graham Media Group, based in Chicago. On West Lafayette Boulevard in Detroit, WDIV-TV maintains studio facilities. As a result, it is the only major television station in the market with offices and studios located within the city limits of Detroit, with the rest of the market’s television stations based in Southfield.
