In May 2020, Conde was named Chairman of the NBCUniversal News Group. Under Conde’s leadership, the NBCU News Group made significant investments in digital and streaming, became the only news organization to operate three major streaming channels, and set new rating records.

Conde is the first Hispanic to be the president of a major English-language television news organization. He established the Fifty Percent Challenge, which aims to increase diversity in the newsroom. NBCU Academy, a journalism training program for college students, is part of the initiative. NBCU Academy has partnered with 17 academic institutions and provided $6.5 million in funding to help students prepare for careers in journalism.

Conde joined NBCUniversal in October 2013 as Executive Vice President, overseeing NBCU International and NBCU Digital Enterprises.
