Hemmis competed on the reality show The Superstars in 2009, finishing second with her partner Bode Miller. Prior to her television career, Hemmis was well-known for her interview following Tupac’s shooting in Las Vegas in September 1996. Hemmis established profitable real estate and wedding planning enterprises. Paige saw a gap in the market for women’s equipment and goods and launched Tuff Chix, Inc. Her first book, The Tuff Chix Guide to Easy Home Improvement, was published. She volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
She founded “Simply Elegant Weddings” in 2001, and the obvious development from assisting couples to assisting families in obtaining their first houses. Paige used her determination and resourcefulness to study all parts of a building, including plasterboard, cabinets, electrical, and plumbing, despite her lack of deep pockets. She auditioned for Monster House (2003) in order to win tools to help her fix other houses. She was spotted by the makers of Extreme Makeover Home Edition (2003) after appearing in its Christmas episode. Paige believes her work on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” to be a blessing and considers herself extremely fortunate to make a profession by assisting others. Paige participates with Keep America Beautiful’s ‘Great American Cleanup’ and Habitat with Humanity in between radical renovations.
