Oti Mabuse is a South African talent show judge, presenter, dancer, and Latin dance champion who presently resides in the United Kingdom. She is best known as a professional dancer on the British television series Strictly Come Dancing, which she won in 2019 and 2020, as well as the German version, Let’s Dance.

Oti Mabuse Let’s Dance
Mabuse made his professional debut in the eighth season of Let’s Dance, Germany’s equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing, in 2015. She was partnered with singer Daniel Küblböck. The couple was eliminated in week nine, finishing sixth.
Mabuse returned as a professional dancer to Let’s Dance for its ninth season in 2016. She was partnered with Niels Ruf, a television presenter. The couple was the first to be eliminated in Week 2, finishing in 14th position.
Oti Mabuse Strictly Come Dancing
Mabuse won the South African Latin American Championship eight times before moving to Germany to further her dance career. She has won several titles throughout her dancing career. Mabuse made his professional debut on Strictly Come Dancing’s 13th season in 2015. She was teamed with Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo. The couple was eliminated in Week 3, finishing 14th overall. That year, she also appeared in the show’s Children in Need and Christmas specials, when she collaborated with actors Jack Ashton and Tom Chambers.
Mabuse collaborated with Danny Mac, a former Hollyoaks actor, for the show’s 14th season in 2016. The couple advanced to the final and finished as runners-up. She teamed up with Paralympic sprinter Jonnie Peacock for the show’s 15th season in 2017, but they were eliminated in Week 9 in ninth place. She was paired with England cricketer Graeme Swann for the show’s 16th series, however they were eliminated in Week 10 in eighth place.
In 2019, during her fifth season on the show, she was partnered with former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher, who replaced her previously announced partner, Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing, who had to withdraw due to a foot injury sustained while dancing on the debut episode. They went on to win the series. Laing was confirmed as a contestant for the 18th series the following year, but was re-partnered with fellow professional Karen Hauer, while Mabuse was partnered with comedian and actor Bill Bailey, and they reached the final and won the series, with Mabuse becoming the second pro to win the show twice (the other being Aliona Vilani, who won series 9 and 13) and the only pro to win twice in a row.
Mabuse indicated on April 18, 2021, two weeks after being confirmed as part of the show’s 19th series, that this would most likely be her final season. On February 22, 2022, Mabuse announced her departure from the show after seven years.
