Monika Ko Career
From 1997 to 2019, Kos was the host of the Western Australian edition of the Seven Network’s evening current events program Today Tonight. Kos attended Loreto Nedlands High School and John XXIII College before graduating from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. She worked as a presenter at Perth radio station 6PR in the late 1980s before joining Channel 7 in Perth as a cadet journalist in 1990.
In December 2019, it was revealed that Kos had joined Network 10 and will take over as host of 10 News First in Perth, replacing Narelda Jacobs. Kos was laid off by Network 10 in August 2020. On September 11, she delivered her final Perth-based 10 News First broadcast before the state-based Perth bulletin moved to Sydney.
