Collins joined the Mad TV cast at the start of season four and remained until the conclusion of season nine, appearing in only 14 episodes. Her popularity on the show inspired her to return as a guest star in 2005 during Season 10, 2007 during the 300th episode of Season 13, the final episode of Season 14 in 2009, and the 20th anniversary reunion special in 2016.

Collins stated, “I would have done nothing about it.” I was 44, feeling well, everything was going fine for me, but my fiancé, Alex said, ‘You need to get that checked out’”. Collins discovered she had a primary tumor in her duodenum and was fortunate to find a doctor who was knowledgeable enough about GIST to recommend that she see a specialist.
