Her first starring performance was in Fear the Walking Dead: Passage, for which she was nominated for a Creative Arts Emmy Award. After the ceremony, she introduced herself to Stranger Things casting director Carmen Cuba, who later asked Prada to read for a role in the Starz show Vida, which was in production. She previously appeared in Fear the Walking Dead: Passage, a web series based on The Walking Dead. Prada initially auditioned for the roles of Lyn and Cruz but was eventually cast as Emma, a Mexican-American woman who returns to her gentrifying East Los Angeles neighborhood after the death of her mother. Vida launched in May 2018 and will return on May 23, 2019. She is a founder member of Damarosa, a female art collective that examines the aesthetic work of prominent women in literature. She played Hermosa Lodge in Riverdale, a teen drama on The CW.
