He stars as Jimmy Darmody in the first and second seasons. Jimmy Darmody, a criminal in Atlantic City, was raised by Gillian Darmody and Commodore Louis Kaestner. Gillian was raped at the age of 12, and Jimmy’s relationship was tainted by sexual abuse. Jimmy was raised by Gillian and Nucky Thompson, who succeeded Commodore as the leader of the group that controls Atlantic City.
Jimmy went to Princeton to earn a degree and dated Angela Ianotti, who became pregnant with his kid. Following World War I, Jimmy enlisted in the United States Army as an infantryman. His son, Tommy Darmody, was born during the conflict. After returning to Atlantic City, Jimmy worked as Nucky’s driver and bodyguard. He orchestrated the Hammonton hijacking and was forced to hide in Chicago.
He eventually returned to Atlantic City to serve as Nucky’s primary enforcer. Jimmy reconnected with his father when Kaestner survived a poisoning attempt and tried to retake control of Atlantic City. Nucky, however, continued to retaliate, and Jimmy’s adversary, Manny Horvitz, murdered Angela. Jimmy, distraught, turned against Gillian and murdered the Commodore when he attempted to intercede. Jimmy tried to reconcile with Nucky, but he assassinated him at the Atlantic City War Memorial in August 1921.
Michael Pitt The Dreamers
He appeared as Matthew in the 2003 romantic drama film The Dreamers. Matthew, an American exchange student in Paris, meets the free-spirited twins Théo and Isabelle at a demonstration protesting Henri Langlois’ firing. They bond over their love of film, and Matthew embraces their sexuality, allowing them to live happily. They have fun discussions about movies, music, and Maoism. Matthew and Isabelle fall in love, and Matthew pursues a relationship with her independently.
Théo, on the other hand, retaliates by inviting a buddy into their room, which upsets Isabelle. They fall asleep together, and their parents discover them naked in bed. Isabelle awakens and attempts to commit murder-suicide, but is interrupted by a brick and rioting students. Théo joins a group of demonstrators building Molotov cocktails, and Matthew attempts to stop him but is ignored by both. Théo grabs Isabelle’s hand and throws a Molotov cocktail toward the cops, storming the throng.
