Aronov starred as a physicist separated from his family and exiled as a political prisoner for three seasons on the award-winning series The Americans. In 2017, he joined The Blacklist as a new cast member, playing Smokey Putnum, the affable hustler and sidekick to James Spader. Aronov also appeared as John Malkovich’s right-hand guy in Showtime’s Billions. Aronov is now one of the leads in a new Cinemax series called Jett and was recently seen in Operation Finale alongside Ben Kingsley and Oscar Isaac. Aronov is most recognized for his appearance in The Drop (2014) as Chovka, the Chechen warlord and head gangster opposite Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini.
