Spoon joined the Eyewitness Sports team at WWL in 2015 as an anchor/reporter. After two and a half years on the highly rated Eyewitness Morning News as a co-anchor of the 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. hours and as an anchor/reporter from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., she moved from working nights and weekends with sports to the highly rated Eyewitness Morning News as a co-anchor of the 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. hours. She’ll have the opportunity to speak with some of the city’s most well-known people.
After a brief stint in public relations, her first job was as a weekend sports anchor/reporter for KTBS, where she remained for nearly four years. She then relocated to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to work as a weekend sports anchor/reporter for WFRV. As a CBS Sports Network affiliate reporter, Leslie gained valuable expertise. reporting on the Packers on “That Other Pregame Show” every week. She covered every game, the NFL combine, and the Packers’ NFL Hall of Fame Inductions in Canton as a CBS Packers correspondent. The Wisconsin Badgers’ path to the NCAA Final Four was also covered by Spoon.
Leslie was an all-state basketball player for the LHSAA at Benton High School (near Bossier City) before moving on to play NCAA basketball at Georgia Southern University. She realized that working in broadcasting was the greatest option to be interested in sports after college. After a brief stint in public relations, Leslie was hired by KTBS, where she spent four years as a weekend sports anchor/reporter. Leslie exchanged her flip-flops for snow boots and relocated to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to work as a weekend sports anchor/reporter for WFRV. In addition to her duties on the newscast, Leslie worked as an affiliate reporter for CBS Sports Network, providing weekly Packer updates on “That Other Pregame Show.” As a dedicated Packers reporter for the station.
