She formerly worked as an anchor for CNN.com Live and CNN Headline News. She was formerly a weekend anchor/reporter for Houston’s NBC station, KPRC, and has also reported for CNN Newsource in Washington, D.C. On May 18, 2018, it was revealed that Park had left Fox 5 on May 16, purportedly because of unfavorable working conditions brought on by construction in the newsroom. The first night of the Iraq War, Park was anchoring. She also established a profile-style program, “People in the News.” In August 2001, she moved to Headline News as a writer for the launch of the revamped network.
She has created and aired throughout major events as the Shuttle Columbia accident, the tsunami crisis, and the 2004 presidential election. As a field reporter, she covered significant topics like the collapse of Enron and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Park’s career in journalism took an unusual turn when she decided to pursue journalism instead of her true calling as a doctor. In 1999, she began working for CNN Features as a producer. In addition to CNN and CNN International, she has reported for Headline News and anchors CNN Student News. Park got a National Headliner Award for her work on “CNN.COM,” one of the products she helped develop while she was employed by CNN. She was a concert pianist for the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra and is fluent in Korean.
