The prosecutor on each case is assistant DA Carol Anne Keane, a young lawyer who wants to use the cases to boost her image and with whom Josh has had intermittent sexual meetings.

Turbo, the jocks’ leader, does nothing to improve the situation; his horrible leadership and sadism endangers the remaining survivors.

The plot revolves around a group of individuals working on new Broadway musicals, where everyone must combine their often tumultuous personal lives with the all-consuming demands of life in the theater.
