Ken got his start as a reporter for WJET in Erie, Pennsylvania. Ken would subsequently move behind the anchor desk as Weekend Sports Anchor before moving to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to work in the same position. Ken was then promoted to the job of sports anchor for WBRE/main WYOU. Ken has also been a weekend player in the Cincinnati Broomball Association for the past three years. WXIX-TV (virtual channel 19) is a Fox-affiliated television station based in Newport, Kentucky, that broadcasts to Cincinnati, Ohio. The station is owned by Gray Television. WXIX-studios TVs are located at 19 Broadcast Plaza on Seventh Street, just west of downtown Cincinnati, while the transmitter is located in the city’s northwest, in the South Fairmount area.
WXIX-TV started as an independent station on August 1, 1968. It was the first new commercial station in Cincinnati since 1949. In Ohio, Charter Spectrum channels 3 and 4 as well as Cincinnati Bell channel 3 on cable broadcast the station. It is the only UHF independent station broadcasting on channel 19 in the greater Cincinnati market. The channel number was changed from 74 to 19 to make the station more marketable.
