Justin’s entire life has been around telling stories. Justin was banned from a cross country meet later that year after being diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at the age of 13. Not wanting others to go through what he went through that day, he founded a non-profit organization and began speaking to middle and high school students across the country, sharing his message of self-confidence and empowerment, which he called “Living Loud.”
Justin studied broadcast journalism at Syracuse University, shifting his focus from his own story to the tales of others. He worked as a morning news reporter in Syracuse for two years before settling in West Michigan. When he’s not working, he’s generally out exploring with his trusty Nikon or experimenting with new recipes.
His entire life has revolved around telling stories. He traveled the country as a motivational speaker during high school and college, conveying a message of self-confidence and empowerment. As a reporter, he transitioned from sharing personal experiences to bringing attention to concerns in his neighborhood after graduating from Syracuse University. He selected journalism because he wanted to raise awareness about significant topics, enlighten people about opportunities for constructive change, and share much-needed knowledge in times of uncertainty.
