At the age of 15, Goldani Telles was forced to stop practicing ballet due to tendonitis and labral tears in her hips; to avoid depression, she enrolled in a drama class. Her first television role came in 2011 when she auditioned for the role of Sasha Torres in ABC Family’s Bunheads. She did so despite never having had an acting job before and lacking headshots or a résumé.
Bunheads should have been one of her first auditions, according to her agent, because she would be comfortable with the dancing aspect of the show. In November of 2011, the pilot episode was shot. Bunheads was picked up for a series and aired for eighteen episodes between June 11, 2012 and February 14, 2013. In addition to Bunheads, Goldani Telles was seen in the Nat & Alex Wolff music video for “Greatest Prize” in early 2012.
