He’s looking forward to continuing his real-world forecasting experience in Michigan, as well as working with the rest of the First Warn 5 Weather Team. John’s fascination with the weather has been evident since he was a child. He would always prefer to watch the Weather Channel rather than cartoons like most children do. Storm Stories with Jim Cantore was one of his favorite shows as a kid, and he used to watch it all the time.
During college, he did various internships, including Fox 2 Detroit and WLNS 6 Lansing. John was driven to study meteorology because he wanted to witness and understand the science behind the many different types of hazardous weather phenomena and the harm they can do to structures and people’s lives. Rich Luterman, Jerry Hodak, and Ginger Zee were among the other well-known meteorologists and instructors who influenced John. When John isn’t forecasting, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outside, whether on the lake or camping, or simply discovering new music to add to his playlist.
