Jessica Graf The Amazing Race

Graf and her Big Brother 19 co-contestant (and now husband) Cody Nickson were approached to compete on the 30th season of The Amazing Race while Big Brother 19 was still airing. The season began filming on October 1st, just eleven days after Big Brother concluded. Kristi Leskinen and Jen Hudak, as well as Alex Rossi and Conor Daly, quickly became friends with the duo. After finishing second to Kristi and Jen in the first leg, Jess and Cody won the second leg and a $5,000 cash prize.

The pair had a disagreement with Lucas Bocanegra and Brittany Austin and considered targeting them in the sixth leg, but when they realized they were second-to-last, they decided to U-Turn Trevor Wadleigh and Chris Marchant, the only team behind them, resulting in the latter’s elimination. Lucas and Brittany chose to U-Turn Cody and Jessica in the eighth leg, but they still made it to the Pit Stop ahead of Eric and Daniel Guiffreda, narrowly avoiding elimination.

Despite being in second place for the majority of the final leg, Graf was able to complete the final task ahead of the two other remaining teams, winning the entire season and the $1,000,000 grand prize. Throughout the race, they never finished lower than sixth, achieving the second-highest average placement behind Kristi and Jen. Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson are the first Amazing Race team to win The Amazing Race from another CBS franchise.

Jessica Graf Big Brother

Graf appeared on Big Brother’s 19th season. She was spared the first eviction after receiving a “friendship” bracelet from Paul Abrahamian on Day 1. She began a showmance with fellow contestant Cody Nickson during the first week of the competition. She was named as a recipient of the Ve-toad curse in week 2. After Nickson won the Battle Back Showdown in week 4, she was crowned Head-of-Household.

Graf was voted out of Big Brother 19 by Raven Walton and Elena Davies 7-1-0. She had numerous feuds with the other contestants, the most notable of which were Abrahamian, Abbott, Martinez, Walton, and Ow. Graf stated that she would have voted for Abrahamian because she believed he orchestrated nearly every move during the game. Martinez won by a vote of 5-4, with Graf’s showmance partner, Nickson, casting the deciding vote.
