Nicole’s first television appearance was as a guest star in an episode of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” Her feature film debut was in the 2006 American dance drama film ‘Take the Lead,’ directed by Liz Friedlander. She appeared in another film, ‘Get Famous,’ as well as the television film ‘The Mastersons of Manhattan,’ in 2007. She rose to prominence in 2008 as one of the main characters in the science fiction mystery TV series “Fringe.” The show was based on the fictional “Fringe Division” of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which looked into supernatural mysteries. The show aired for five seasons until 2013. Critics overwhelmingly praised it. It received numerous honors and nominations, including two Emmy nominations.
Nicole appeared in the romantic comedy film ‘She’s Out of My League,’ directed by Jim Field Smith. The film was a commercial success, grossing nearly $50 million on a $20 million budget. It received mixed reviews from critics. She had a recurring role in the political thriller ‘Scandal’ between 2013 and 2016. The series received positive reviews and won several awards. She also appeared in two films during this time, ‘Suicide Kale’ in 2015 and ‘A New York Christmas’ in 2016. She had a recurring role in the period drama series ‘Underground’ in 2017.
