Willoughby also started a psychotherapy course at the Open University and took on low-paying jobs. After that, she eventually got a job as an assistant manager, where she convinced a friend to make a showreel of her. Because of this, her agent was able to get in touch with the BBC. Later in 2002, Willoughby hosted several other CBBC children’s shows, including Xchange, a factual entertainment show for kids.
