Farrah Abraham Career

Abraham appeared on television for the first time on June 18, 2009, in the second episode of the MTV reality show ’16 and Pregnant’. She quickly rose to fame after sharing her experience as a teen mom, the loss of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Derek, and the first few months of motherhood. A few months later, she was selected as the main cast of the spin-off series ‘Teen Mom’, along with other teenage girls who appeared on ’16 and Pregnant’. The series followed the cast’s lives in the first few years after becoming mothers. As her television fame grew, she decided to pursue her passion for cooking and enrolled in a culinary arts and management course at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida.

Her debut studio album, ‘My Teenage Dream Ended,’ was released on August 1, 2012, and she tried her hand at singing. The album was followed by a memoir of the same name, published on August 14, 2012. The book received mixed reviews, while the album received an overwhelmingly negative response from critics, who labeled her single “On My Own” as one of the worst pieces of pop music ever made. Farrah Abraham was cast as a main cast member in the fourth season of the VH1 reality show ‘Couples Therapy’ in January 2014. Brian Dawe, who was supposed to be her partner on the show, backed out at the last minute.

As a follow-up to ‘Teen Mom,’ the TV special ‘Being Farrah’ was released in February 2014. It was preceded by special episodes featuring other ‘Teen Mom’ casts. Despite the fact that some cast members were opposed to Farrah’s inclusion on the show due to her adult film history, she was recast in the revived series ‘Teen Mom OG’ in 2015.
Farrah, who considers music to be a hobby, released another single, ‘Blowin’,’ in March 2014, along with a music video starring her daughter. She was given a residency at Palazio’s Gentleman’s Club in Austin, Texas, in August 2014. On August 27, 2015, she represented the United States by appearing on the sixteenth season of the British reality television series ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
