Ernestine Harvin was a secretary from Washington D.C and best known as the wife of Little Richard who was the flamboyant piano-playing rock n’ roll pioneer. Little Richard real name is Rich Penniman. He died at the age of 87 years old on May 9th, 2020.

Ernestine Harvin and Little Richard met during Richard’s time in the Little Richard Evangelistic Team as he traveled across the country to preach in October 1957. Both then began dating until they married on July 12, 1959. Ernestine then had a peaceful life in a happy marriage before their divorce in 1964. According to Havin, the marriage ended due to her husband’s celebrity status which according to her, had made life unbearable. Ernestine said that he became a neglectful husband as he still changed his sexuality to gay. However, Robinson and Harvin denied Penniman’s claims that he was a gay.

Havin and Richard before there divorce they had adopted a one year-old boy, Danny Jones from a late church associate. Richard’s son and his father both maintained a close father-son relationship often acting as his father’s bodyguard. Havin later married MC Donald Campbell of Santa Barbara, California on March date 23 in the year 1975. Havin later divorced with Mc Donald in December 1976 in Los Angeles. His son, Danny Penniman confirmed the death of his father. Richard’s guardian said he was suffering from a few health complications for the past years and had had a stroke and a heart attack, which came along with hip problems.

Ernestine as a secretary from Washington D.C, Little Richard’s talent began rising a lot after learning to play the Alto Saxophone. Richard during his time at school he played at the school’s marching band, next to his part-time job at the Macon City  Auditorium. Later sister Rosetta Tharpe heard Little Richard singing a couple of her gospel recordings and invited him to sing on stage  and he did so. The crowd liked it a lot and Tharpe decided to pay him for his performance. Richard following his first great stage performance, he sang with other’s shows which were coming through his city. Richard  his professional career breakthrough career success began with his song  ”Tutti Frutti” which peaked at two on the Billboard’s Rhythm and Blues Best Sellers chart. Richard debut albums “Here’s Little Richard” is his highest- charting album as it peaked at 13 on the Billboard’s pop Albums chart. Little Richard’s latest full shows were at Florida’s pensacola Interstate Fair, and another one that took place in Las Vegas.

Little Richard has also received numerous awards throughout his career which is really beneficial. Little was honoured in the Grammy Hall of fame many times. Richard also received the American music Award of Merit, the Rhythm and Blues Foundation pioneer Award, and the NAACP Image Award-hall of fame Award. He therefore was awarded with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993, and with the Rock $ Roll Hall of fame in the year 1986.
