Erin was the only on-air journalist to go live from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in 2016 as Pope Francis delivered a mass and was serenaded before leaving Philadelphia. She previously worked for 6abc’s sister station, WTVD, an ABC-owned station in Durham, North Carolina, before moving to the city of Brotherly Love. She covered everything from breaking news to UNC pep rallies to hurricanes wreaking havoc on the Tar Heel State.

Erin also has extensive experience covering politics, having started her broadcasting career at Capital News 9 in her hometown of Albany, New York. Erin began her career in the news by producing episodes of the MTV documentary True Life. Erin spent most of her time working for MTV in New York City, but she also traveled across the country, following teens and young adults as they struggled with issues such as bipolar disorder and drug addiction.

Erin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. She belonged to the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the Ivory Tower Honor Society. Erin is a member of the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project’s board of directors. She also contributes her time to the Help Us Adopt foundation.
