She joined CBS News in 2015, two years after starting at CBS Sports Network. Prior to that, Jacobson worked for ESPN from 2002 to 2012. She was named co-host of Cold Pizza in March 2005, and she transitioned with the show as it became First Take. On December 30, 2011, she left First Take to return to SportsCenter as an anchor. Jacobson announced her departure from ESPN on March 27, 2012, when her contract expired at the end of April. Her final day at ESPN was Monday, April 30, 2012, when she hosted the 6-8 p.m. ET SportsCenter. Jacobson and long-time CBS correspondent Michelle Miller were named the new Saturday co-hosts of CBS This Morning in July 2018.
Her first television job was at WPBN/WTOM-TV in Traverse City, Michigan, where she worked for two years as a fill-in news anchor and weekend sports anchor, producer, and editor. In Northern California, I covered a variety of stories, including profiles of former Sacramento Kings players Mike Bibby, Chris Webber, and Jason Williams. As a weekend sports anchor at KXTV-TV, ABC’s Sacramento affiliate station (1998-02), I covered a wide range of professional sports, including the NFL and NBA. KXTV’s News10 Red Zone was hosted. From 1996 to 1998, I worked as a sports reporter for KXTV’s Monday Night Football show.
