But Hurricane Katrina’s devastation reawakened his urge to rebuild houses and families, and soon Dan was working on a construction team. Dan and his wife Dasha later relocated to New York in the hopes that the huge metropolis would give their creative minds additional chances.
Dan oversaw the completion of three buildings and created custom furniture out of salvaged materials (as a hobby! ), proving that the relocation to the Big Apple was worthwhile. He was seen by HGTV, and he hasn’t looked back since. He currently hosts his own online mini-series, DanMade, is in charge of his own bespoke furniture line, Capsule Furniture, and works as a designer and independent contractor in Manhattan.
