Gupton played SSA Stephen Walker, a BAU transfer from the Behavioral Analysis Program hired to assist the team in apprehending Peter Lewis. He began playing the role in the Season Twelve episode “Scarecrow” and continued until the Season Thirteen premiere, “Red Light,” where his character was killed when he sustained injuries in a car crash caused by Lewis.
Stephen Walker was a Supervisory Special Agent with the BAU, who joined the team in Season Twelve to assist in the manhunt for Peter Lewis, a.k.a. “Mr. Scratch”. Scratch murdered Walker in an elaborate attack on the team in Season Thirteen.
Damon Gupton Black Lightning
He appeared as Bill Henderson in seasons 1 to 3 of the American superhero drama television series Black Lightning. Henderson is a veteran inspector and the force’s highest-ranking detective who later becomes the Freeland Police Department’s deputy chief. His community role pits him against Black Lightning, but they soon become unlikely allies.
Henderson eventually discovers that his lifelong friend Jefferson Pierce and vigilante Black Lightning are the same person, which strains their relationship for a time. Henderson eventually becomes one of Black Lightning’s closest allies, and following the A.S.A.’s takeover of Freeland, secretly aids the resistance while posing as a subservient public servant.
Gupton revealed in January 2020 that Henderson would not be returning for the fourth season and that the third season would be his final as a series regular. As a result, in the third-season finale, Henderson saves Jefferson and Jennifer from a Markovian ambush, only to die in Jefferson’s arms after a mutual kill with the final Markovian soldier.
