Katty Kay of the BBC was her co-author on all three. Shipman worked for ABC News for 15 years, covering everything from politics to international events to social issues. Before joining ABC, she worked for NBC News, where she covered the White House and the Clinton administration. Shipman also worked for CNN for a decade, where she covered the White House, and for five years in Moscow, where she documented the fall of the Soviet Union. She has won multiple honors for her reporting, including the Peabody, the DuPont, and the Emmy.

Womenomics, a book written by Shipman and BBC World News America correspondent Katty Kay that explores the redefinition of success for working women based on recent trends in the value of women to the business world, was published on June 2, 2009, by HarperCollins.
