Chloe Bailey began learning the cello and violin while she was homeschooled in Atlanta. She also learnt how to play the piano through YouTube tutorials. Chloe’s enthusiasm for music inspired her younger sister, Halle. After observing the sisters’ musical success, their father, Doug Bailey, abandoned his day job to become their manager, allowing the ladies to perform throughout Atlanta. Around this time, they realized they were destined to become professional musicians. In an interview, Chloe stated, “Ever since we were little girls, we’ve always known in our hearts that we would be doing this.” In 2006, the Grammy-nominated duo launched their YouTube account ‘Chloe x Halle’ and began posting renditions of popular songs.
