Chelsea Hobbs Snow Queen
She appeared as Gerda in the 2002 made-for-television film Snow Queen. The plot of the film is loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story “The Snow Queen,” but there are several significant differences. She appeared as newcomer Emily Kmetko in the an American teen/family drama television series Make It or Break It. Payson Keeler, Kaylie Cruz, Lauren Tanner, and newcomer Emily Kmetko are elite-level gymnasts training at “The Rock” for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Their futures are jeopardized when their head coach, Marty Walsh, is blackmailed out of his position and forced to relocate to a rival gym. Payson is the favorite to win, but she fractures her spine after a fall on the uneven bars and is told she will never be able to do gymnastics again. The other three are selected for the National Team, but they disagree with Ellen Beals, the head of the National Gymnastics Committee. To establish The Rock girls as international competitors, The Rock hosts a private meet with the Chinese National Team.
Austin Tucker, a superstar male gymnast, joins the girls in the second season. Payson tries to resurrect her gymnastics career and falls in love with her coach, Sasha Belov. The Kmetko family is struggling financially as a result of Emily’s scholarship loss. The girls compete in World Championship trials, and all four make the team. They prepare for and win team gold at the World Gymnastics Competition in Rio de Janeiro.
Payson, Lauren, and Kaylie begin Season Three by traveling to the American Olympic Training Center to prepare for the 2012 London Olympics. Coach Mac assigns the girls to groups, forcing Kaylie to live with Kelly Parker and Lauren to work with Payson. Kelly does not qualify for the Olympics and quits gymnastics. Wendy drugs Kaylie and Lauren exposes her, causing Wendy to be kicked out. The five girls are chosen to represent the United States in the Olympics in the season three finale.
