Charlie Korsmo ( born Charles Randolph Korsmo) is an American attorney and actor. He is best known for playing the Kid in the film adaptation of Dick Tracy and Jack Banning’s Hook. Korsmo made his film debut in ‘Men Don’t Leave’ (1990) at the age of 12.

Korsmo played The Kid/Dick Tracy Jr. in Dick Tracy, Siggy, the son of Richard Dreyfuss’ character in What About Bob?, and Jack Banning, Peter Pan’s son in the 1991 picture Hook. His only film performance till 2019 was as William Lichter, a minor character in the 1998 film Can’t Hardly Wait. Korsmo obtained a physics degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000. Korsmo has worked for the Environmental Protection Agency and the Republican Party in the House of Representatives. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Yale Law School in 2006.

At Yale, he was a member of the Federalist Society, a group of conservative and libertarian lawyers and students. Korsmo successfully passed the New York State Bar Exam in July 2007. Formerly an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP’s New York office and a visiting professor at Brooklyn Law School, Korsmo is now a professor of corporate law and corporate finance at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland. President Barack Obama nominated Korsmo to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation in May of 2011.
