Pope and her brother, Kris, were driving a black BMW down West Georgia Street in Downtown Vancouver on December 29, 2009, when David Fomradas, 31, of Alberta, leaped on top of the car and yelled at them to run him over. When Kris exited the truck, Fomradas hopped into the driver’s seat and drove the vehicle into the new CBC studios. Carly sustained a shattered rib and two cracked vertebrae, Kris suffered significant ankle injuries, and a bystander was also hurt.

She appeared as Tara Messer, an architect and interior designer at Messer Hagen + Walsh and the ex-fiancée of Louis Litt in the American legal drama television series Suits. In “Character and Fitness,” she decides Louis is not the type of man she wants to spend the rest of her life with and ends their relationship, leaving him sad. Tara appears for the first time when Louis hires her as an architect to rebuild the firm. Jessica, on the other hand, tells Louis to abandon the idea and terminate Tara. Louis, on the other hand, falls in love with Tara and hires her as an architect to design a house in the Hamptons that he does not even own.
Their romance develops, but Tara discovers she is pregnant, and the baby is not Louis’. Louis doesn’t mind because he has always wanted to have his own child. When Louis chooses to tell Tara about his background, he admits that he threatened Jessica with going to the US Attorney’s office with Mike’s secret in order to get his name on the door. Tara is angry at him, but she is more disappointed in how he treated her after the dispute. Tara then leaves Louis a voice message in which she informs him that she has decided to end their relationship.
