Brian is currently a race car driver in California, leading a private life. He came from an acting family, and his mother started him in commercials to earn money for college. Brian’s first commercial for Texaco was at the age of seven. He made 21 ads in total, including ones for United Airlines, Texaco, and Nestle’s Quik. The commercial he created for Mattel Hot Wheels received an award. His mother was an actress named Jennifer Raine. His father was an actor, and his stepfather was a character actor named Whit Bissell. His great-great-great grandpa was Charles Dickens. His first major appearance was as Susan Olsen’s Prince in an episode of The Brady Bunch. During rehearsal, he forgot his line. The Director thought the mix up was hilarious, so they decided to preserve it.
In 1970, when Jeremy Gelbwaks was leaving The Partridge Family, they asked for Brian instead. He simply went for one interview, and they told him he got the job. Brian was close friends with the late Suzanne Crough, and they remained in touch until her tragic death in 2015. As kids, they shared a trailer, rode bikes together, and developed crushes on each other, despite Suzanne’s denials!
