She was hired as a news presenter on Today in early 2007, standing in for Georgie Gardner, who was on maternity leave for the first half of 2007. On Fridays later in 2007, Langdon frequently presented National Nine News: Morning Edition and National Nine News: Afternoon Edition bulletins. Langdon also gave bulletins during the summer of 2007-08. Langdon worked as a senior reporter in the Sydney newsroom and continued to fill in on Nine News and Today.

Langdon took over as co-host of Weekend Today in December 2017, succeeding Deborah Knight. She will also continue to report for 60 Minutes and fill in on Nine News Sydney and Today. After earning her degree in journalism, Langdon interned at CBS in New York City and later joined the Nine Network. In 2001, she started working in media as a producer for Nightline. Langdon worked as a producer for the 6:00 p.m. National Nine News bulletin in 2002. Langdon moved to Nine’s Darwin newsroom in search of additional field work. During her first year in the Top End, she won the David Marchbank Award for best new journalist. Langdon covered news and Sunday program stories in Mexico and East Timor while working as a political reporter for the Northern Territory.

Following the attack on the Australian Embassy in Jakarta in September 2004, Langdon was one of the first Australian journalists on the ground. All she recorded everyday for Nine’s notices. Langdon was criticized in February 2009 for reporting on the Black Saturday bushfires in Marysville, Victoria, where 34 people had been killed. Despite a police ban on entering the town, Langdon and her camera crew flew into the crime scene despite the town being sealed off.
