Following the advice, he accepted the challenge and began wrestling in high school. While attending Massillon Washington High School, he joined the wrestling team. Zion met the requirements to become a member. He didn’t win a single game during his junior year. In his senior year, he was more determined and trained harder, and he made it to the semi-finals of the competition. A paralympic official once approached Zion and persuaded him to join wheelchair racing.
He rose to the occasion once more, becoming Ohio’s fastest runner and winning the state championships in the 100 meters and 400 meters in 2016. On August 10, 2018, Netflix aired a short film documentary on Clark and his experience thus far. In the 800-meter race, he finished third.
