He has listed and sold over a billion dollars in real estate with a colleague.He is most remembered for playing Norman Sturgess, the son of a fictional couple aboard the RMS Titanic, in the 1953 film Titanic. The New York Times described him as “manly”, and a book review praised him for displaying “just the right amount of naivete and exuberance”.
Carter relocated to Westlake Village, Calif., in 1974. He began his real estate career and was appointed Executive Vice President of Young Realtors (now Sotheby’s International Realty) in 1992. In 2006, Sotheby’s named him the Top Producer in Ventura County. He and colleague real estate agent Michelle Ouellette have listed and sold over a billion dollars in property.
