Guzzo is the president and CEO of Cinémas Guzzo, which has 141 screens and 10 locations in Quebec and is the third-largest in Canada. His new theater, Méga-Plex St-Jean 12, is now under construction and is set to open in 2021.

Angelo Guzzo, who is still the chairman of the board, founded Cinémas Guzzo. In 1967, he moved to Canada from Italy to work as a machinist for Pratt & Whitney. In 1974, he purchased the Cinéma Paradis, a movie theater that had been closed and abandoned for eleven years, causing friction with nearby residents. As a student, Guzzo worked as an usher and in other minor capacities.

He joined his father’s family business in 1991. As the chain expanded in the late 1990s and additional facilities were constructed, Cinémas Guzzo’s construction division executed the building and Guzzo assisted with the design work.
