Five-0 questions members of a stunt biker gang in order to find a killer who escaped by jumping his motorcycle from one rooftop to another. Meanwhile, the Five-0 members prepare to compete in a Tough Mudder event.
In Hawaii Five-0, the squad prepares for an obstacle course competition before being interrupted by a case involving a mystery biker who shoots Kevin Harper. Harper has been leading a second life, which is discovered by his daughter Aubrey. The motivations for this double life are unknown, although it could be a gang set-up to keep Harper silent.Five-0 sets up the scene in which the bikers follow a cargo trailer truck, and the interrogation of “Ice Man” is ironic.
The highway pursuit scene involving McGarrett, Danny, and HPD police officers pursuing Aubrey and Tyler is intense, but Tyler dies after colliding head first with an incoming van. Aubrey will most likely receive a light sentence because of her emotional state. The still photos of McGarrett, Kono, Chin, and Danny competing in the Tough Mudder event are entertaining, but Danny’s injury is the result of not listening to McGarrett. Overall, Hawaii Five-0 is a terrific episode with some funny moments and a clever technique to questioning arrested bikers.
