In 2004, she won the Florida District Miss Black and Gold Pageant, representing the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity’s Iota Delta chapter at a regional competition in Atlanta, Georgia. Baden began her career as a child actress on television, with her first notable role as Vanessa in Nick Jr.’s Gullah Gullah Island. Following that, she played Kyra Rockmore in more than 60 episodes of the Nickelodeon teen sitcom Kenan & Kel.
