In addition to FOX network entertainment and sports programs, FOX21 transmits roughly 38 hours of local newscasts each week. In southeastern Colorado Springs, the station shares a studio with sister station SOCO CW. The FOX21 News team received the national Edward R. Murrow Award for Continuing Coverage for its coverage of the Waldo Canyon Fire in 2013.
