Fadal began her broadcasting career in Tampa, Florida, as a morning anchor for WHNZ Radio. She flew to Afghanistan with American troops in 2002 to report on the war. Fadal worked for WPGH-TV in Pittsburgh, WFTV in Orlando, WOWK-TV in Charleston, West Virginia, and KYW-TV in Philadelphia. In 2004, she joined WCBS in New York City, then on March 24, 2008, she joined WPIX, reporting and anchoring for the Morning News five days a week, covering both breaking news and feature stories.
Fadal appeared as a dating counselor to customers in the Lifetime (TV Network) docu-series “Matched In Manhattan” in 2009. In 2019, Fadal took over as host and executive producer of The Broadway Channel’s Broadway Profiles, a monthly series that features in-depth interviews with celebrities as well as an inside look at the Broadway industry. The show began broadcasting weekly in the fall of 2020, becoming the first Broadway-related program to be nationally syndicated. The show’s name was changed to The Broadway Show with Tamsen Fadal in September 2021.
Fadal earned a Broadcast Journalism award from the National Air Disaster Foundation [NADF] in 2004, following 9/11, for his efforts to improving airline safety.
