Krishnan’s previous experience in the New York news market included a spell as a general assignment reporter at WCBS-TV from June 1997 to July 2001. In 1995, she worked for ABC station WUTR-TV in Utica, New York, as an anchor, reporter, and producer for the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts. In 1994, she began her career in television at WLIG-TV on Long Island. Krishnan worked in a range of roles throughout her year there, from shooting, writing, and editing news items behind the camera to front-of-the-camera reporting.
