During this time, he appeared in various TV films, including ‘She’s in the Army Now’ (1981) and ‘An Innocent Love’ (1982). Bauer made his film debut in the romantic comedy ‘Valley Girl’ (1983) in an uncredited role. He appeared in the cop comedy ‘Running Scared’ starring Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines in 1986. He also played an Israeli soldier in the Canadian CTV television film ‘Sword of Gideon’ that year.
He co-starred in the 1990 television miniseries ‘Drug Wars: The Camarena Story’ alongside Benicio Del Toro and Craig T. Nelson as Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, a Drug Enforcement Administration agent.
